How far apart should I plant my bamboo?

As a general rule of thumb we recommend that clumping bamboos are spaced anywhere between 4 to 8 feet on center (from the center of one bamboo, to the center of the next bamboo).

Running bamboo plants should be spaced according to the size of the plant at maturity. Timbers bamboos  should be spaced anywhere from 3 to 10 feet on center. Mid sized running bamboos should be spaced from 2 to 8 feet on center.

In some cases spacing your bamboo plants on the closer end of these recomendations will acheive a faster screen.
