Bamboo is the only bamboo native to South Africa. It grows in an open clump with
culms up to a foot apart. It has a more robust, shaggy look than the other
mountain bamboo’s. The culms are flexible even when old and were used by
African tribesmen to make frames for their shields. This Bamboo has a very
original look to it. Wonderful hardy clumping bamboo which can handle full sun. (1
