Fargesia scabrida

We are very excited about this new introduction.  Scabrida is a very hardy and robust plant with orange culm sheaths that gradually fall off revealing beautiful steel blue and lavender culms which age to an olive green.  The leaves are longer then both Fargesia robusta and Fargesia rufa.  Scabrida is very upright for a hardy clumper and able to handle more direct sun then most other Fargesia.
